My name is Ana Cantu, I have lived in Laredo most of my life. I am the mother of two healthy, athletic boys and a wonderful daughter. My boys keep me busy while my daughter keeps me sane; she is always in my corner and helps me anyway she can. As a single mom, I have always strived to give my children a good life, a good education, and the opportunity to succeed. I have taught them to work hard and never pass up the opportunity to improve themselves. I follow the same advice I give my children; I work hard but I also take time to enjoy my children.
I have been working in the medical field for twenty-nine years. The first three years were as an auditor with a Home Health agency. The following five years were as a medical equipment sales representative. For the last twenty-one years I have been working in the provider service field.
My first experience with provider services was as a Community Based Alternative (CBA) Clerk, which was mostly paperwork and phone calls. Then moved up to a Personal Assistance Service Supervisor. As a PAS Supervisor I was able to go visit my clients and spend time with them, which was very rewarding. Later I moved up to Office Manager, I learned more about the programs benefits and how to best help our clients. I brought all this experience and knowledge with me when I came to Morning Glory Provider Services a little over five years ago. I am the Alternate Administrator and Office Manager. I have learned so much more here at Morning Glory. I use all this information to guide our staff to help our clients and their family members make the best decisions.
I genuinely enjoy my job and the people I work with. I enjoy talking to the clients and spending time with them. I enjoy communicating with our attendants and training them on how to properly take care of our clients. It is important to me that our clients get the services they need and are well cared for.
I have been blessed to have a great boss; Mrs. Leal has given me the opportunity to help run her business. Together we make a great team. We all work well together here at Morning Glory; you can call it our 2nd home.
Here at Morning Glory Provider Services, we have a very friendly and competent staff and we are ready to serve you!
The two positions I have are critical to the operation of the agency. My Quality Assurance Director position is critical in the day-to-day operation while the Emergency Preparedness Director is essential for the safety of the staff and clients. I studied and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration for Management from Texas A&M International University and I currently have over 5 years of experience in a management position.
The success of the agency depends on the implementation and monitoring of the Quality Assurance Plan and the outcome is rated during our bi-annual audits. My responsibility as Director is to ensure that the Quality Assurance Plan and the Individual Service Plans are followed and every file under review comes out with a perfect score. One of my goals is that Morning Glory pass every audit with an excellent score. One of my other goals is to ensure the agency continues to grow and that we maintain the highest quality service. I create Monthly Status reports, Power Points and grafts demonstrating our strengths, need for improvement and potential for growth.
My other position as Emergency Preparedness Director becomes fully activated when a weather or manmade emergency is a threat to our clients, attendants, and office staff. Daily surveillance of the weather, monitoring our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other essential equipment is necessary to be prepared for a disaster.
During the disaster, my main responsibility is to implement the disaster plan and coordinate the staff. I must ensure the latest information reaches our office staff and attendants and that our clients remain in a safe location. I also have to issue the necessary PPE to our staff and clients as needed. Our priority is safety during this time.
After the disaster I organize the recovery, so the agency can go back to business as usual. A very important part of the recovery is organizing the information I accumulated during the disaster, so we can evaluate our performance and make changes as needed to ensure that we are prepared for the forthcoming disaster!
My name is Enid M. Flores, I am blessed with three children. I have two very active boys, ages seven and four and a sixteen-year-old daughter that keeps me on my toes. I have lived in Zapata all my life and have been happily married to my husband for 23 years. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, gardening and painting rocks or just watching a good movie with all my family.
I have worked in the medical field since I was 20 years old. I started as a Certified Nurses Aid for a home health agency and worked there for two years. I would provide the personal care for my patients. I took a break because I had my children but returned to work in 2007 as a Community Based Alternative Coordinator. I really enjoyed communicating with the clients.
In June of 2012 I was hired by Morning Glory Provider Services as a Personal Assistance Services Supervisor and Biller. As the agency grew so did the number of employees and my responsibilities changed. I am now the Billing Supervisor, the EVV Supervisor and now and then I still help out as a PAS Supervisor. The billing and EVV maintenance are essential to the business so I do my best when doing these tasks, but what I really enjoy is communicating with the clients and attendants. I enjoy helping them fill out the forms and conversing with them. I enjoy scheduling their appointments and transportation. It makes me happy that they confide in me enough to ask me for help. I enjoy talking to and teaching the attendants. I want them to learn and preform their jobs the best they can. I want my client to know that I care about them and I am her to help them.
Here at Morning Glory the owners are very family oriented which makes my life so much easier. They make you feel like family. I am very happy and feel secure and peaceful coming to work every day. I really enjoy the friendship I have with my co-workers and look forward to coming to work.
My name is Aylin Rios, I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. My favorite color is pink and on my free time, I love to bake! I have learned to make so many desserts and pastries over the past couple of months. A goal of mine is to educate myself more about pastry arts and business management, so that one day I have capability to open up my own bakery.
I am a former bartender and started my path in the provider services field with Morning Glory Provider Services, my job here is an EVV Clerk. As an EVV Clerk I ensure attendants are collecting the correct tokens given by the vesta device that will confirm the hours the attendant clocked in and clocked out. I monitor daily the calls received by the attendant in case they accidentally miss a day or help them by manually approve the hours with the tokens given. Every day I strive to gain a better understanding of my job to keep advancing in this career path in the future. I enjoy being at work and the people surrounded around me. I am grateful to have such generous coworkers that do not hesitate to enlighten me with new information or correct my errors. I find delight in talking with the clients and attendants helping them in whatever way I can and getting to know everyone more every day! The assistance and care our clients receive is extremely important to us here at Morning Glory Provider Services! care.
Hi, I’m Jacqueline Guevarra, everyone calls me Jackie! As a mother of three very active boys, I have learned to have a lot of patience and understanding when dealing with different situations. This helps me in all areas of my life.
I have been with Morning Glory Provider Services since June of 2019. It has been a great learning experience for me. I communicate daily with my clients and their family. During our conversations I always think of how I would want my parents and my family to be treated. I would want them to be treated with patience, understanding, kindness and respect. This important concept is what I base myself on when dealing with my clients, their family, and our attendants.
My main responsibility as a PAS Supervisor is to ensure that my clients are well taken care of by my attendants. When selecting an attendant for my client; I look for an attendant that has the experience or the capability of learning the tasks that my client needs. I orient the attendant to the specific tasks the client needs, and I explain how my client’s health will affect how they are to perform these tasks. Then I supervise the attendant’s progress at every visit. I also monitor my client’s health status for changes and new needs during these visits. It is an ongoing process which I really enjoy.
All provider service programs like Morning Glory, now require that our attendants call in a code to a specific toll-free number. These codes represent the time they clock in and out of work. These codes are obtained from a small device, that we leave in the client’s home. My job as EVV Clerk is to verify and confirm that these codes are called in daily and that the hours they represent were indeed worked. This must seem like a lot of work, but it is how we ensure that our clients receive the services they are entitled to.
My name is Jovanna Gonzalez, I live in Zapata with my wonderfully supportive husband and 3 beautiful boys. Zapata is a small town, and you tend to know almost everyone if you live here long enough.
I first became aware of Morning Glory Provider Services and the type of services they offered when I walked into their office looking for a job. I was hired as an attendant and given a thorough orientation. I had never been an attendant, but I found it extremely rewarding to provide the best possible care to the clients in the comfort of their home. I really enjoyed this job and worked as an attendant for almost a year before I was offered an office position. My supervisor told me she admired my dedication and friendly nature and thought I would be good as a receptionist and clerk. I gladly took the job. I worked for two years answering phones, filing, completing human resources applications, and electronic visit verifications maintenance. You name it, I wanted to learn it. After the two years I was promoted to Personal Assistance Service Supervisor and I loved it. I was now able to go visit the clients I had only spoken to on the phone.
Now as a PAS Supervisor my responsibilities include visiting and monitoring my clients. Finding and hiring the right attendant for my clients. I help them fill out Medicaid forms and schedule appointments and transportation for them. I try to make sure they get all the help and benefits they need.
I am very thankful to have been given the opportunity to work with Morning Glory. I enjoy communicating with my clients and attendants daily. I love my job and am blessed to come to work every day and socialize with my co-workers. I feel that they are my second family.
I am a first-generation immigrant. I was raised by a single mother who was a nurse in Mexico. She encouraged me to follow a career in this field.
As a former stay at home parent to three daughters and one son, I officially entered the Home Health field in 2018 as a clerk and transitioned to Field Supervisor. Since then, I’ve developed the skills and knowledge to better serve our clients. My problem solving and critical thinking abilities serve me well when I am under pressure without compromising the quality of care that our clients deserve.
In my free time I enjoy going to the movies, listening to music and traveling. I recently moved back home to Laredo after a short time in Illinois where I expanded my professional knowledge. I also had the privilege of enjoying big city living and the pleasure of the cold weather.
As a PAS Supervisor at Morning Glory Provider Services, I work closely with my coworkers and other resources to build a rapport with them and establish a long-term relationship, which will intern help me better serve our clients. I work along side our friendly and competent team which gives me great fulfillment and the drive to continue to make a difference in the lives of others. I know I can make a positive difference in your family members’ lives and look forward to taking care of you and your family members.
I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas.
I am currently engaged to my fiancé who is my best friend and number one supporter. We both have a wonderful daughter who loves being active and always has us on our feet, keeping us busy. Becoming a new mom taught me a new level of patience and comprehension. I am currently certified as a Medical Assistant. I have worked in the medical field for 4 years.
I saw an opportunity at Morning Glory to expand my knowledge and explore a new career path. At Morning Glory I am an Administrative Clerk. On my first day as I entered the Morning Glory office, I was greeted by the manager which made me feel very welcome and knew this had to be an amazing company to work for.
As an Administrative Clerk, I have many responsibilities, all of which are instrumental in providing the greatest care for our clients. The attendants are a big part of the quality care we provide for our clients. Part of my responsibility to our attendants is greeting them and making them feel welcome when they enter the office. I answer their questions or addressing their concerns.
I also work with the EVV system. I ensure that the attendant’s token codes are correct in the system so they will get paid all the hours they work. I must ensure that they follow their schedules, which means I have to communicate with them daily, which I enjoy. You build a friendship with them, and they trust that you are looking out for their best interest.
Being able to work with my colleagues really means working with a team. They complement my hard work, and they advise me of any changes with the clients or attendants. They help me identify any errors so I can fix them right away to ensure that we provide the best service.
I am looking forward to a bright future with Morning Glory and look forward to taking care of you and your loved ones.
I was born and raised in Laredo, TX. I am the oldest in my family and I have two younger brothers. I have been in a committed relationship with my boyfriend for almost 7 years. I love to spend time with my family and boyfriend. Some of my favorite things to do are having game nights, going to the movies, or trying new delicacies.
My initial career choice was teaching. While I was studying to be a teacher, I worked with Morning Glory Provider Services as the EVV clerk which quickly became my favorite job, however, I decided to continue my education to graduate from TAMIU as a teacher. I worked as a teacher for a while, but I missed my job and my co-workers at Morning Glory Provider Services. So, I decided to come back to Morning Glory.
Even though this was not my initial career choice, it is the first job where I am excited to wake up in the morning and go to work. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. I feel that every day I am acquiring more knowledge and the skills needed to assist the clients and attendants.
Several months ago, I was given the opportunity to be a PAS Supervisor. It is a challenge, but I really enjoy helping and caring for my clients.
My objective with the agency is to treat all clients and attendants as my family. I want to provide them with the best care possible. As a supervisor, it is a wonderful feeling of accomplishment when you can match the right attendant with a client, who will assist them with their activities of daily living.
Throughout the years, I have learned so much. I have learned the process of acquiring provider services for the clients, and the requirements for the attendants. I know the process and requirements of each HMO and insurance company. I know how, when and what to communicate to the caseworker, and more.
Morning Glory Provider Services instantaneously became a second home to me because the office staff is like family to me, and like a family we are united in our goal to help our clients.
My name is Lorena Garza, I have lived in Zapata for the past 33 years. Here in Zapata is where I met my husband of 31 years. We have the most amazing and wonderful son; he brings so much joy to our lives. My Faith and my family keep me grounded and happy. These are the two most important aspects of my life.
I have 24 years of customer service experience. When I was given the opportunity to work for Morning Glory, I was grateful and excited to embark on a new career path. I started working for Morning Glory on March 6, 2023. From the day I was interviewed to the present, I have felt welcomed and at ease. I have always felt part of the team and I appreciate all the help and training I have received.
As a member of the Morning Glory team, I have many responsibilities. I am a Personal Assistance Services (PAS) Supervisor. I especially enjoy visiting my clients and getting to know them better as this gives me the opportunity to better understand their needs and make a difference in their lives.
My responsibilities do not stop there. When I am in- house, I answer phones, greet clients, attendants and visitors to our office. I make them feel welcome and answer their questions, so it is important that I know everything about the programs and services that Morning Glory offers.
Our goal is to provide the best possible care for our clients and ensure that they receive all the services and benefits they are entitled to. So, knowing my client’s needs and knowing what the PAS programs and other resources offer, allows me to provide the best possible service to our clients.
I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to be part of Morning Glory and have a positive influence on our clients and their family’s lives.
I look forward to caring for you or your family member.
