Eligibility Requirement

  • Honorable Discharge
  • Ninety Days of Consecutive Service
  • One Day During a Period of War
  • Must Require Assistance with at Least Two ADL's
  • Below the Total Asset Threshold (not including home or automobile)
  • Household Income VS Monthly Medical Expenses


MUST HAVE SERVED TIME DURING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING WARS:


World War I (April 6, 1917 - April 1, 1920)

World War II (December 7, 1941 - December 31, 1946)

Korean Conflict (June 27, 1950 - January 31, 1955)

Vietnam Era (August 5, 1964 - May 7, 1975)

Persian Golf War (August 2, 1990 - Present)

PROCESS

  • Morning Glory Provider Services submits your basic information on a unique referral form
  • AVCC works with you directly to obtain benefits and start home care services
  • After initial screening is completed AVCC will:


  1. Request documents from you
  2. Collect Doctor's paperwork about your case
  3. Review the application for completion
  4. An accredited attorney will submit the application for processing


  • Once your application has been approved and Morning Glory Provider Services receives the authorization, we will build a care schedule to meet your needs
  • The Agency will hire your attendant of choice, or we will look for a competent attendant to your liking
  • A specific amount of monies will be allotted for each qualifying individual so that the agency can provide these services
  • You will never be billed as long as we stay within the designated schedule, and we do not exceed the allotted monies designated for your services
  • The agency will bill AVCC directly



IMPORTANT NOTES

Aid and attendance is a tax-free benefit distributed to eligible honorable discharged veterans or their surviving spouses.


Those approved for benefits will receive a monthly check as reimbursement for the cost of acceptable medical expenses from Veterans Administration. 


Home Care Services are an acceptable medical expense.
